Hurrah! Another JapFest!

This time, at Donington Park Race Circuit. Unfortunately (due to lack of interest) Southwestcivics didn't have a stand at this, however I tagged along with the RotawheelsUK boys to see what the new show had to offer!

Now, it could well be because the 4th? Time Attack round was held at this event, but I personally thought this was one of the best shows (if not, the best!) of the year.

I have to admit, i was expecting a poor turnout, however i was certainly not disappointed. This event was also the chosen location for the 6^th Skyline meet, where 100 Skylines paraded around track.

The weather stayed dry most of the day for the Time Attack entrants, apart from the early afternoon where even the drift displays were cautiously paying the track respect, as a few cars made acquaintance with the gravel pit at the end of the pit straights

After seeing some of the Time Attack cars, I can definitely say this will be an event I will attend in the future, the florescent Orange RC Development car was nothing short of fantastically fast. Speaking of speed, I heard rumours later in the day, that the Norris Designs Green EVO clocked 147mph on the Pit lane straight!

Lets hope the JapFest shows continue to be this good in the future!
